The clinical placement forms are the responsibility of the students and are advised to keep them in a safe place not to loose them. After the first set of placements (Surgical, Medical & Geriatric) students are to hand in the three original forms to Ms. Vanessa Mangion at the Nursing Services Directorate and a copy of each form to their respective salary office. This is repeated when students do the second set of placements. Students are advised to keep a copy of each form for themselves just in case.
During the EN to SN Conversion Course students will need to do a number of hours in different clinical environments to gain experience.
These placements are necessary as they are basic requirements for students who are European members to be recognized and work anywhere within the European Union countries when they finish the course.
Students are only exempted from particular placements if, during the course, happen to be working in an area necessary as a course placement.
Students are advised to consult with CLINICAL PLACEMENTS GUIDELINES so that they will know what to do when they encounter problems during their clinical placements.
